Walk the Day
Singapore is one the places that I frequently visit. It's like a second home for me; my brother has been living there for over five years and from time to time I visit his apartment to see him.
I like Singapore because, well for starter, it's meticulously clean (I might have exaggerated that a bit though). You won't see huge piles of trash on the pavements. It's also tidy and because of that everything is easier to do.
I decided to spend the day alone. Since it was Ramadhan, I couldn't eat nor drink so the only thing I did was walk the whole day. I had already pass the 'tourist' stage where you go to Singapore only to shop, so I didn't visit the malls. I walked around Bugis, passed Raffles area and finally ended up sitting on a bench at the park behind Esplanade.
I stayed at Esplanade for more than an hour, sitting there while listening to my iPod and watching the view of the bay. It was really refreshing.
I really recommend people to just walk around Singapore, get lost and just let the road decide where it will take you.
